We’re delighted to share that Still Wakes the Deep is officially an award-winning game as it was named a winner at the 2024 TIGA Awards.

The team at The Chinese Room and publisher Secret Mode collected awards for both the Best Audio Design 2024 and Heritage in Games 2024, in recognition of Still Wakes the Deep’s immersive sound and its achievements in storytelling.

Still Wakes the Deep has also seen award nominations at the Golden Joystick Awards, the Grand Game Awards and The Horror Game Awards, and was nominated at the TIGA Awards in the Best Action and Adventure Game and Creativity in Games Awards categories.

Other Sumo victories at this year’s TIGA Awards included Red Kite Games’ Studio Director Simon Iwaniszak winning the Outstanding Leadership Awards 2024 – the second win for Red Kite in recent weeks as the studio also collected Best Mid-Size Studio at the Game Republic Awards.

The TIGA Awards showcase excellence in game development, service providers and education, and bring the best and brightest names and games in the industry together for a night of celebration. This year, Sumo studios were also nominated for Best Visual Design, Best Social Game and Best Use of  a License (The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Sumo Nottingham), Best Action and Adventure Game (Warhammer 40:000: Boltgun, Auroch Digital), Best Arcade Game and heritage in Games Awards (Oil Strike ’75, Sumo Digital Academy), Education Initiative (Sumo Group), Best Publisher and Commitment to ESG (Secret Mode).
