FOUNDED IN 2016
THE HISTORY OF SUMO NOTTINGHAM
Established in 2016, our studio has already made a mark with co-development on high-profile franchises like Sonic the Hedgehog and Forza Horizon. With a studio of over 90 developers, our talented team is excited to embark on new adventures, including creating our own original IP.
Our approach combines expertise with a supportive, inclusive environment, where every team member is empowered to collaborate, innovate, and grow. With a pedigree in delivering AAA experiences and licensed IPs like Hogwarts Legacy and The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Sumo Nottingham thrives on bringing fresh ideas to life.
We pride ourselves on player-first development, using player feedback and insights to continually refine and improve the gaming experience.
Life in the Sumo Nottingham Family
We pride ourselves on being a warm and welcoming studio, with a diverse group of team members all with the goal of making great games. Whether you’re one of our in-studio team, a hybrid member of the squad, or work remotely, you’ll become part of the Sumo Nottingham Family.
The studio runs on a Collaborative leadership model and we’re committed to hearing all voices and listening to all ideas. We work hard to secure projects that play to the studio strengths allowing it to grow and innovate. We’re proud to recognise and celebrate the contributions of teams and individuals.
Collaborative leadership
Your roadmap for development is laid out in our Nottingham Job Matrixes and we operate a culture of 360 learning where everyone can learn from everyone else. We support our neurodiverse colleagues, keeping up to date with adaptations and guidance, and leading with our own in-studio Neurodiversity Committee.
