Developed in Unreal Engine 5 and utilising its suite of tools and tech, Still Wakes the Deep is a terrifying, realistic and story-driven experience that has been haunting players since its release in June 2024. In Still Wakes the Deep, the player assumes the role of an offshore oil rig worker, fighting for his life through a vicious storm, perilous surroundings, and the dark, freezing North Sea waters. All lines of communication have been severed. All exits are gone. All that remains is to face the unknowable horror that’s come aboard.
The Horror Game Awards were founded in 2022 to celebrate the genre as one of the best in the games industry, and to recognise both the best games and their developers
It’s been a big few weeks for Still Wakes the Deep, receiving multiple nominations at the 2024 Golden Joysticks, collecting two awards at the TIGA Awards, being shortlisted for PlayStation Universe’s Horror Game of the Year and winning Best Horror at the inaugural Smash Jump Awards. Not to mention making multiple ‘best games of 2024’ lists from media including The New York Times, Ukie and The Guardian.
Still Wakes the Deep is available to play now on Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and PlayStation 5. It is also available with Game Pass for console and PC. More information can be found on the website.
