New year, new awards! The team at The Chinese Room are continuing to pick up nominations for their narrative-horror game, Still Wakes the Deep, and have most recently been announced as nominees for the 2025 D.I.C.E Awards.
The game, which has already seen awards success at the TIGA and Horror Game Awards, is up for Outstanding Achievement in Audio Design and Outstanding Achievement in Story at the prestigious D.I.C.E Awards.
Held annually, these awards are run by The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences and recognise games, individuals and development teams that have contributed to the advancement of the video game industry.
The full list of nominees for the 2025 Awards can be found here, and winners will be announced on Thursday 13th February during the D.I.C.E Summit in Las Vegas, and live streamed by IGN.
In Still Wakes the Deep, the player assumes the role of an offshore oil rig worker, fighting for his life through a vicious storm, perilous surroundings, and the dark, freezing North Sea waters. All lines of communication have been severed. All exits are gone. All that remains is to face the unknowable horror that’s come aboard.
Still Wakes the Deep is available to play now on Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and PlayStation 5. It is also available with Game Pass for console and PC. More information can be found on the website.
