Zool Redimensioned, the vibrant, side-scrolling retro platformer from the Sumo Digital Academy and publisher Secret Mode, launches today on Steam.
This brand-new reimagining of the classic action platforming adventure has been rebuilt from the ground up by the students of Sumo Digital Academy, a talent development programme focused on creating new pathways into the games industry. In this new version, get ready to return to the Nth dimension and enjoy over 28 retro platforming challenges now enhanced with responsive physics, improved flow of level design and fully remapped controls.
This team of talented young developers earned their coding wings by programming their own C++ game engine and, with the assistance of the developers of the 1992 original at Gremlin Graphics, used it to bring Zool to a new generation of retro gamers. The game has been developed by the Sumo Digital Academy’s first cohort – who joined in September 2020 – and is set to challenge the most hardcore gamers, with modern enhancements, new quality-of-life options and new secrets to discover.
Zool Redimensioned is now available on Steam, and more information can be found on the Steam Page.
