Another one! We’re delighted to announce that Sackboy:
A Big Adventure has won a Children & Young People BAFTA award.
The much-loved adventure
platformer was the overall winner of the Game category and has now scooped
three BAFTAs in total, having won two accolades at the BAFTA Games Awards in
2021.
The awards are a celebration of the incredible breadth and
creativity of UK and international programming for children and young people
spanning film, games and television as well as the next generation of change-makers
and innovators through its Content for Change category.
Co-developed by Sumo Digital alongside Sony Interactive Entertainment, Sackboy:
A Big Adventure sees Sackboy embark on a brave journey to rescue his
friends from the dastardly Vex – a jester-like master who plans to transform
Craftworld from a fantastical land of pure imagination into a torrid, barren
eyesore of nightmares.
The game originally launched on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 in 2020, and was
released on PC for the first time in October of this year.
