Video game Producers are tasked with finding the fine balance between a happy team and a project delivered on time, on budget and at a high quality. When it comes to Live Service games, like Sumo Leamington’s debut title Stampede: Racing Royale, it’s crucial to implement processes to ensure bugs are fixed, new content is delivered, and the game is always growing.

Here, Producer Aoibhinn McAuley and Senior Producer Arran Blomfield discuss the role of producers in video games, give their top tips for how to manage a live service team and explain the difference between live service and single-release games.

Stampede: Racing Royale pits 60 players against one another across three-round eliminator events, culminating in a high-stakes finale to crown the winner. Rounds include Stampede Races, which offer classic karting action on outrageously inventive circuits against up to 59 other opponents, and Stampede Battles, where competitors are locked in power-up-laden arenas to fight their way to victory. Stampede: Racing Royale is available to Wishlist on Steam now.
