The work of a Live Ops team often begins long before a game is released as they bring their expertise in community, data, and player experience to the development of a game – ensuring that community and player satisfaction is always a priority. For Sumo Leamington’s debut title, Stampede: Racing Royale, these teams have been hard at work for over two years to bring this kart-racing game to life.

Now the game is in Xbox Game Preview, the Live Ops and Community Teams at Sumo Leamington are busy collecting data from playtests and collecting player feedback, working with the development teams to make sure players have everything they need to succeed in this 60-player battle royale racer!

Here, Live Ops Director Sean Quinn, Data Scientist Liz Osborn, and Senior Community Manager Chris Groves share how they work with data and players to create harmony and fun.

Stampede: Racing Royale pits 60 players against one another across three-round eliminator events, culminating in a high-stakes finale to crown the winner. Rounds include Stampede Races, which offer classic karting action on outrageously inventive circuits against up to 59 other opponents, and Stampede Battles, where competitors are locked in power-up laden arenas to fight their way to victory.

Stampede: Racing Royale is now available to play for free on Xbox Series S | X, and on PC via Xbox Game Preview. More information can be found here: https://www.stampederacing.com/
