Supercharging Stampede: Racing Royale

Games go through huge amounts of iteration throughout development and Stampede: Racing Royale is no different!  

The debut title from Sumo Leamington, this multiplayer battle royale racer has continued to grow and evolve over the last few years. Here, Development Director Paul Hollywood and Lead Designer Anna Lecue share the story of how the game began, how it’s changed during development and how the studio has evolved to accommodate the games’ growing ambition, technical capabilities and more. 

Stampede: Racing Royale pits 60 players against one another across three-round eliminator events, culminating in a high-stakes finale to crown the winner. Rounds include Stampede Races, which offer classic karting action on outrageously inventive circuits against up to 59 other opponents, and Stampede Battles, where competitors are locked in power-up-laden arenas to fight their way to victory. Stampede: Racing Royale is available to Wishlist on Steam now.
