Due to a recalculation, we’re now delighted to announce that TWO of our studios have received
a GI.biz UK Best Places to Work 2022 Award.

Leeds-based studio Red Kite Games has been included for the fourth
consecutive year among the top companies in this year’s awards, which is the
only event to celebrate employer excellence within the video games industry. In addition, our Warwickshire-based studio Lab42 Games has now been officially included in the UK Best Places to Work awards for the third year running.

“I’m delighted that Red Kite has been awarded a Best
Places To Work Award for the fourth year running,”
said Simon Iwaniszak, Founder
and Studio Director at Red Kite Games. “Making our studio a great place to
work is a collective responsibility and this award belongs to every single
member of the team.”

Red Kite Games was founded in 2012 and was acquired by Sumo
Group in 2019, joining the Sumo Digital family. The studio is most recently
known for its collaboration with Mediatonic on the hit massively multiplayer
title Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, as well as working alongside Warner
Bros. Games, Avalanche Software and fellow studio Sumo Nottingham on the
upcoming action RPG Hogwarts Legacy.

“We’re thrilled to win this award again,” said Terry Goodwin, Technical Director at Lab42 Games. “Everything our studio has achieved over the years has been thanks to our incredible team, so this award really means a lot to us. I’d like to thank everyone at Lab42 Games for making our studio such an amazing place to work!”

Lab42 Games began its journey back in 2015, and its highly versatile studio has worked across a huge mix of genres and platforms – including Human Fall Flat, Fishing Sim World: Pro Tour, Sonic Mania, and Yakuza Kiwami. Lab42 Games was acquired by Sumo Group in 2020 and has since gone on to be listed among the ‘Best Companies’ in the West Midlands regional category.
