UI is everything the player can see and interact with – from menus and customisation to buttons and navigation. Sumo Leamington’s debut title, Stampede: Racing Royale is a massive, multiplayer online karting game which needs easy-to-navigate UI to create an easy-to-use experience for players.
Luckily, we have an incredible team of UI Artists and Engineers working to create just that. Here, Associate UI Director France Quiquere and Senior UI Artist Hernan Polloni talk about the importance of good UI, how they find their creativity when working on games and how they created a smooth experience in Stampede: Racing Royale.
Stampede: Racing Royale pits 60 players against one another across three-round eliminator events, culminating in a high-stakes finale to crown the winner. Rounds include Stampede Races, which offer classic karting action on outrageously inventive circuits against up to 59 other opponents, and Stampede Battles, where competitors are locked in power-up-laden arenas to fight their way to victory. Stampede: Racing Royale is available to Wishlist on Steam now.
