PixelAnt | Industry Veteran Pawel Selinger appointed as Art Director

PixelAnt Games have today announced that industry veteran Pawel Selinger has joined the Poland-based studio after more than 20 years at Techland, where he served as Art Director and Write

Pawel has joined
PixelAnt Games as Art Director and will support the creation of the studio’s
first own IP, from providing artistic leadership to influencing creative
direction and crafting game narrative.

He joined
Techland in 1998, serving as Lead Artist, Art Director and later as a Writer on
Dying Light 2. Pawel worked across many Techland releases, including multiple
entries in the Dead Island and Call of Juarez series, as well as the original instalment
of Dying Light.

the growing team at PixelAnt Games as I start an exciting new chapter in my
career,”
said Selinger. “It’s very clear to me that this is a team destined for
great things, and I can’t wait to start working with the creative team on our
upcoming projects.”

PixelAnt Games was
founded in 2020 by Pawel Rohleder and Adam Lason and was acquired by Sumo
Digital in February 2021, becoming the tenth business within our international
family of studios. The studio implements ’Gamedev 2.0’, a philosophy which
promotes a smarter way of making games by fostering a stable, healthy, and
value-driven environment, reflecting the wider goals of the Sumo Digital family.
The team at PixelAnt Games combine game development with the best software
delivery practices to shape exciting AAA projects across multiple platforms.

PixelAnt Games
is currently beginning work on its first original IP, which is being developed
in Unreal Engine. This latest project is the catalyst for further studio growth,
with multiple opportunities available to join the team across various
disciplines. The studio recently hosted the first in a series of virtual open days to discuss development practices and
promote knowledge sharing, featuring talks from PixelAnt Games industry veterans
including Marcin Piaskiewicz and Mateusz
Piaskiewicz.
