The Chinese Room appoints Alex Skidmore as Studio Design Director

Brighton-based The Chinese Room is delighted to welcome new Studio Design Director, Alex Skidmore, to its award-winning team. 

Having previously held roles at Lionhead and Splash Damage, Alex brings with him a wealth of games industry experience – including time spent working on beloved series including Black & White, Fable and Gears of War, and AAA titles.

As Studio Design Director Alex will be responsible for developing and nurturing design disciplines as the studio continues to grow.

On joining the studio, Alex said: “The Chinese Room gives me an opportunity to share my experience working on award-winning single-player games, and my knowledge of developing and directing new IP.  

“The studio has a fantastic culture of collaboration, inclusion and diversity and I’m so excited to be working with its talented teams in a new era of The Chinese Room.” 

Following the highly anticipated console and PC release of its award-winning title, Little Orpheus, The Chinese Room now has a myriad of exciting projects in the works.
