Digital’s In the News!

Unreal Engine 5’s Megascans will be a game-changer says
Amit Kumar Mehar

During this year’s State of Unreal Keynote Presentation,
which gave us a glimpse of what developers will have at their disposal with
Unreal Engine 5, Epic revealed that over 30 studios are currently developing
titles via this engine, including Sumo Digital.

In this interview with Sportskeeda, Sumo India’s Senior
Graphics Programmer Amit Kumar Mehar shared his experience of working with
Unreal Engine 5, and what it holds for the future of Sumo India developers and
the industry.

Creating the Maps for ‘The Texas Chain Saw Massacre’

Bloody Disgusting was among the media outlets that shared Gun
Interactive’s insightful update, in which the developer unveiled the maps for
the Family House, Gas Station and Slaughterhouse that are set to appear in the
upcoming Texas Chain Saw Massacre game, co-developed with Sumo Nottingham.

The article looks at the process of recreating the iconic
locations from the 1974 movie as game environments, and how they may require
different playstyles depending on where players find themselves in the midst of
the horrors that lie ahead.

Another win for Sumo Digital in partnership with THRIVE

Sumo Digital is never far away from an award, and Learning
News happily reported on us receiving our second award in partnership with
THRIVE. Sumo scooped silver in ‘Best Use of Digital Technologies’ at the 2022
UK Employee Experience Awards, as well as winning silver in the ‘Best Use of
Digital Technologies’ category back in April at the Learning Excellence Awards.
