We’re celebrating Sumo team members who have been shortlisted at this year’s Game Dev Hero Awards. We’re proud to see our people listed among games industry peers in categories ranging from Leadership and Marketing, to QA and Audio!
First, The Chinese Room leads the way with a trio of nominations for its studio. Including Callum Munro (Senior Technical Support Analyst) for Unsung Hero, Qin Yu (Dialogue Designer) for Sound Hero and Liberty Bartlett (Assistant Producer) for Rising Star.
Sumo Nottingham also saw double nominations at the awards, including Eugene Cherny (Audio Programmer) for Sound Hero and Ryan Brown (QA Lead) for QA Hero. Elsewhere, Sophie Mallinson (Lead Game Designer) from Vancouver-based Timbre Games is a finalist for Design Hero.
Sumo Group also has three finalists in the running, including Katy Kinsella-Whyte (HR Director) for Leadership Hero, Alif Trevathan (Inclusion & Belonging Manager) for Progression Advocate and Ellie Greenfield (PR & Communications Manager) for Marketing Hero.
The Game Dev Hero Awards celebrate the people working behind the scenes of the games industry – from brilliant developers and resourceful support staff to inspiring management and positive role models – and recognises their contributions.
