UNDER THE SURFACE

The Chinese Room Studio Director Ed Daly spent some time
with Eurogamer
recently to discuss Still Wakes the Deep, and how the studio is

IT’S WHO YOU KNOW…

To mark 60 years of adventuring through space and time, and 40
years of the Time Lord’s video games, MCV/DEVELOP published a ‘A Who’s Who on
Doctor Who’ article featuring Sumo Sheffield’s Creative Director Sean Millard –
who worked on the episodic Doctor Who: The Adventure Games.

EMERGING TALENT

Sumo Leamington’s Technical Artist Nina
Klos and Red Kite Games’ Senior Quality Artist Theo Clarke featured in the MCV/DEVELOP
30 under 30 2023 list. The event is an annual celebration of the video games
industry’s as of yet unrecognised superstars, putting a spotlight on 30 young
people that have worked hard within the last year.

HIGHLY COMMENDED

Our Sumo Digital Academy came away from
the National Apprenticeship Awards as ‘Highly Commended’ among three finalists.
The awards, now in its 20th year, are designed to recognise and reward the
achievements of exceptional apprentices, apprenticeship champions and
apprenticeship employers.

We were thrilled to be finalists, and you

A GRAND GESTURE

The Sheffield Star kindly covered our
recent fund-raising efforts for St Luke’s Hospice, based in Sheffield. The team
over at Sumo Sheffield helped raise over £1,000 through furniture sales, as
well as other fun fund-raising activities throughout the year.
