Lab42 announces new Studio Director – Terry Goodwin

Lab42 has today announced that Terry Goodwin has been appointed as Studio Director.
Terry will lead the Leamington-based studio following eight years as part of the Lab42 team, most recently as its Technical Director.
On their appointment, Terry said: “I’m thrilled to have this opportunity to lead Lab42! It’s been amazing to see this team grow from a handful of developers in our early days, to the incredible 80-strong team of passionate and talented people we have now.
"What is most important to me is that we preserve the unique culture and collaborative practices that make Lab42 a great place to work and a successful game development studio.”
Sumo Digital Managing Director Gary Dunn added: “Terry brings a wealth of experience to the Lab42 team and I’m delighted to see them stepping into this new role.
“They were one of the first people to join Lab42 when the studio started in 2015 and I cannot think of anyone better positioned to lead them into this exciting new chapter.”
Terry takes over from former Lab42 Studio Director, Ed Blincoe, who joins fellow Sumo Group business – Secret Mode – as new VP of Publishing and will continue to work alongside Lab42’s Studio Operations and Engagement Manager Kirsty Kirby, Development Director Simon Humphreys, Art Director Lee Piper and Design Director Justin Forrest in an exciting time of growth and development for the studio.
