Concept 2.0 and the Nakatomi Story

Atomhawk Innovation Technology Visual Development

Believable game worlds are essential for player immersion, whether those worlds are realistic, fantastical, futuristic, or contemporary. Players seek environments they can fully lose themselves in, and creating such spaces requires both creativity and technological innovation.

To support this, Sumo Digital’s studio Atomhawk* developed a new Art Blast in collaboration with ArtStation, showcasing two interconnected Research & Development projects: Nakatomi and Rainfall. These projects were designed in parallel and exist within a shared universe, allowing for consistent worldbuilding and seamless translation into Unreal Engine 5.

By utilising UE5 and Blender for quicker iteration, greater variety and the ability to scale up the volume of work, Atomhawk have the immediate ability to immerse themselves into game worlds, even during the early stages of development. They call this: Concept 2.0.

To find out more about Concept 2.0 and the capabilities of Atomhawk’s team through the Nakatomi story, head over to Atomhawk’s site to read the full article.
