From award-winning theatre to striking art spaces, arena filling concerts to independent cinema, the great outdoors to inner city pampering, whatever you want to do, Sheffield has it covered!
The range of entertainment in Sheffield is something to be relished.
It’s so diverse and plentiful it can’t be pigeonholed. What that means is there’s always something happening – something to see or hear, something to enjoy, something to entertain you. You’ll find something in the city to suit every taste, every day of the week.
Live music venues in Sheffield
Live music appears to be on every corner whether you want top name pop bands, philharmonic concerts or folk music in a local pub.
The night time economy is an important part of Sheffield’s continued growth as an attractive and vibrant destination. Sheffield City Centre has seen a dramatic transformation in recent years and the awarding of ‘Purple Flag’ status is worthy recognition of what a great place Sheffield is.
With galleries that art lovers dream of, Sheffield takes its art very seriously.
That’s why you’ll discover truly exciting collections housed in traditional grand buildings to light-soaked glass and steel spaces. And whether it’s music, world-class exhibitions, theatre or comedy you’ll be sure to find something entertaining or inspiring in award winning spaces and internationally renowned theatres.
With cultural gems and attractions around every corner hosting constantly changing exhibitions, day-by-day you’ll find something new and exciting to enjoy.
Once the industrial powerhouse of the world, you might be forgiven for expecting Sheffield to be grey, not green…
Don’t be fooled into thinking Sheffield isn’t a city full of wide open spaces, parks, woodland and rural villages, especially as a third of the city lies within the boundaries of the Peak District National Park.
With the Peak District on Sheffield’s doorstep it’s as easy to enjoy an array of outdoor pursuits amongst stunning scenery, as it is to take in the cosmopolitan delights of the city centre.
Why not do both?
