Sumo support The Prince’s Trust

Sumo Digital team up with Sheffield Hallam University and The Prince’s Trust for a week long game making adventure.

Last week, staff from Sumo joined Sheffield Hallam University and members of The Prince’s Trust to host a week long game development course for users of The Prince’s Trust from around the Sheffield area.

Starting on Monday the 6th of June, our budding ‘students’ were tasked with creating a brand new game from scratch, having never delved into game development before. Throughout the whole week, students were mentored by designers and artists from Sumo as well as course representatives from Sheffield Hallam University all in their final year of game development courses at the university.

Sumo art director Dave Blewett said “The Prince’s Trust has been a fantastic initiative for Sumo to get involved with. It was a great opportunity for us to share knowledge with eager minds. We all found it incredibly inspirational to see every one of the projects reach fruition in such a short amount of time. Every single one of the participants should be remarkably proud of what they achieved!”
