Sumo Digital & Harmonix team up to bring Rock Band 4 to PC

Crowdfunding is paving the way for Rock Band 4 on PC and it needs YOUR support.

Sumo Digital are delighted to announce that we’re teaming up with Harmonix to help bring the hugely popular Rock Band 4 and all of its features to PC for the very first time.

In order to bring the title to PC and ensure it receives the attention to detail that it deserves, Harmonix are looking to raise $1.5 million on crowdfunding platform Fig.

Crowdfunding has forever changed the games industry. Fans enabled the creation of games such as Psychonauts 2 and Broken Age, and technology such as The Oculus Rift, establishing a new age of democratized game development. As an indie studio, we at Harmonix must seek funding for projects.

Typically this involves traditional publishers and all of the positives and negatives that entails. However with crowdfunding now a popular and influential alternative to publisher deals, we’ve chosen Fig to crowdfund the development of Rock Band 4 on PC.

At Harmonix, we see Fig as the logical evolution of crowdfunding. Backing in the standard manner is open to all, but with Fig providing options to invest and share in the potential profits of the game we’re excited to see crowdfunding evolve to democratize not only development, but also financial success.

If you’re interested in learning more about the project, be sure to head over to the campaign for all the details.
