Art at Sumo Video Games
Asit Ghadge – Art Director
At Sumo Video Games in Pune, we focus on AAA titles for the major consoles and PC. Our art team works directly with Sumo’s UK studios, allowing us to work on a number of amazing projects including recent global blockbusters such as Hitman 2 and Forza Horizon 4.
Our art team is also in the enviable position of working on the full spectrum of concepts and assets for our projects including environments, characters, vehicles, clothing and props. This means that there are lots of possibilities for our artists, and they’re never stuck on one thing.
Working at Sumo Video Games is unlike working at most studios in India because we have a very strong co-development work environment, which includes working alongside teams of artists, designers, animators, and programmers to deliver exciting projects.
This structure also allows us to plan our work in such a way that everyone here gets a better work-life balance and there are excellent opportunities for our team to the visit our partner studios in the UK and industry events here in India.
We’re always on the look out for the best talent to join us at Sumo Video Games and the easiest way for us to see this is with a portfolio that not only showcases your creativity but also gives us some insight into your love and passion for video games.
When it comes to art, it’s all about putting your best foot forward and a strong portfolio is something that you should have and be ready to show when networking with other artists and attending industry events such as our Recruitment Roadshow.
Our last Recruitment Roadshow in Pune was a great opportunity for me to meet some new and talented artists looking to join us at Sumo Video Games and I look forward to meeting more of you in Hyderabad!
The Recruitment Roadshow in Hyderabad will be held on December 2nd.
